U Leisure is a charitable organisation based on campus at the University of Waikato. We establish and maintain facilities and services for the benefit of students and staff at the University of Waikato and the wider community.

Our event management division specialises in the development and delivery of sport and activity based events, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles, participation and support and community pride.

+ OUR EVENTS
The Perry Foundation REV Cycle Festival - An annual cycling festival based in Hamilton. This is a unique cycling event which caters for all abilities and ages.

ASB Social Sport - ASB Social Sport is a continuous social sport series held in Hamilton and involves a number of sporting modules, including Touch Rugby, Soccer, Netball, and Volleyball. Over 3000 people participate in our social sport activities throughout the year.

The Gallagher Great Race - An annual rowing challenge held on the Waikato River between the University of Waikato and a visiting international university crew. In the past we have had top crews from Cambridge (UK), Oxford (UK), Washington (USA) and Harvard (USA) come to challenge.

The King St Great Race Ball - An annual event held in conjunction with the rowing race, the ball truely is like no other event in New Zealand. It is a night of luxury, endless entertainment, indulgence and mystery.

NZ College Games - The NZ College Games gives secondary school students from all over NZ a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in a world class event and get a taste of what it could be like to compete in the Olympic Games. This is the biggest youth sporting event in New Zealand and is held every Olympic year.

U Leisure also contracts to provide infrastructure and support services to some of the leading event series in New Zealand, including the Weetbix Kids Tryathlon.
